Pre-work Asbestos Audits
Also know as a Part 6 audit. This process is conducted within the guidelines of the
Victorian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007. It involves the physical sampling of products or materials
deemed to possibly contain asbestos. The samples are tested in a NATA approved laboratory and a full and comprehensive
report is then compiled for the client. Alsdale also include photographs of the site and sample areas in the audit,
along with easy to understand cross-referencing throughout the report. We always ensure the Audit Report is discussed
clearly and concisely with our clients at the time of service. We make ourselves available to attend meeting with secondary
parties on behalf of our clients to ensure all relevant stakeholders have a full grasp on works to be undertaken.
Airborne Fibre Monitoring
Also know as air sampling, this process involves the strategic placement of small
air/dust monitoring units about a work site during the removal of asbestos containing material. The monitors contain
filters which collect airborne fibres which are read at the completion of works. These readings ensure the removal
is conducted in the safest possible process and to the Occupational Health and Safety standards set throughout Victoria.
These air monitors provide comfort to all parties that their personal health and wellbeing is not put at risk during the handling
and removal of the asbestos containing material.
